As part of a criminal case under Article 331 ("Creation and Financing of an Extremist Organization") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, searches were conducted in the homes of residents of the village of Uch-Korgon in the Kadamjai district and the city of Kyzyl-Kiya, where prohibited literature and electronic devices related to the religious extremist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami" were discovered.
According to the investigation, B.R.K., born in 1980, Zh.I.I., born in 1990, I.M.A., born in 1978, D.U.K., born in 1980, B.Z.Z., born in 1986, M.T.B., born in 1989, M.O.A., born in 1991, M.N.M., born in 1978, M.T.K., born in 1989, A.u.A., born in 1991, and other residents of the Batken region were studying prohibited ideology, were participants in a closed Telegram channel, and discussed the establishment of a caliphate in Kyrgyzstan.
All of them have been detained, including individuals who had previously been prosecuted for extremist activities.
