Students from India were selling drugs in Kyrgyzstan, - GKNB

The press service of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported the interception of a drug supply channel from India on November 8.

During the investigation of a criminal case initiated under Article 282, Part 3, Clause 3 ("Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of sale in especially large amounts") of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan, students from India studying at a local university were identified. According to the investigation, they used an Instagram account named Indianproduct to sell drugs.

On November 1, GKNB officers detained two Indian citizens: D., born in 2006, and S.M., born in 2003. About 1 kilogram of hashish and a number of psychotropic drugs were found in their residences.

The investigation into the importation of drugs is ongoing, and efforts are being made to identify individuals involved in their transportation and distribution.
