In the Talas region, new facts have emerged regarding the theft of 41 yaks.

On November 5, the press service of the regional police department reported that three suspects in the cattle theft have been detained in Talas. A young man born in 2002 approached the Talas district police department with a report about the disappearance of 41 yaks, which were stolen on October 14 from the Kara-Kol pasture.

In connection with this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 205-1 ("Theft of livestock"). During operational-search activities, the Talas police were able to identify the suspects: a fellow villager of the complainant, R.K., born in 1983, and his accomplices — N.T., born in 1982, a resident of the city of Talas, and M.Yu., born in 1980, from the Nookat district of the Osh region.

According to materials published in the State Register of Judicial Acts, on October 10 at around 12:00, K.R. expressed concern about the disappearance of his yaks during a conversation with the shepherd N.T.Z., who had been taking care of his cattle for a fee since June 2024. This led to a conspiracy to commit the crime.

They headed to the Kara-Kol pasture in the Zholdy-Sai area, located in the village of Kөpүrө-Bazar, and noticed a herd belonging to a citizen O.M.Z. After confirming that these were indeed the yaks, they secretly drove 28 heads and 13 calves to their pen without notifying the owner.

To cover up the traces of the crime and facilitate the further sale of the animals, they removed the old brands and replaced them with their own, as well as put new tags on the ears.

The investigation revealed that on October 12, they participated in the search for the missing cattle along with other shepherds, without informing them that the stolen yaks were with them. Understanding the need for a quick sale of the stolen goods, on October 13, K.R. contacted M.Yu.A., who had previously bought yaks from him, to arrange a sale.

That same evening, around 23:30, M.Yu.A. arrived in his car, where he was met by K.R. near the village of Taldy-Bulak and was taken to his pen.

On October 14, at approximately 8:00, they loaded 28 yaks and 13 calves, ready for sale, onto the vehicle. Lacking the necessary veterinary documents for transporting the animals, they headed towards the Nookat district.

However, on their way, as they were leaving the pen for the village of Kөpүrө-Bazar, they were stopped by a rider who, after inspecting the animals, stated that they belonged to O.M.Z. The suspects refused to admit their guilt and attempted to flee but were detained while passing through the village of Kөpүrө-Bazar.
