
According to the agency's data, all detainees are residents of the village of Bosteri. They used a homemade device powered by a car battery to catch fish in a river flowing into the lake. One of the detainees works in the security service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the inspection, the suspects were found to have: 7 specimens of trout, a car battery, a flashlight, an electric fishing net, and a homemade device for electric fishing.
Additionally, searches were conducted in the homes of the detainees. In one of the houses, 20 trout and 14 cartridges were seized, while in another, a horn of a wild animal was found.
The detainees were registered in the Unified Register of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Issyk-Kul region, and a criminal case has been initiated against them under Article 310 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. They have been placed in a temporary detention facility in accordance with Articles 96–97 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
