According to court information, the decision to detain was made by the investigating judge of the Sverdlovsk District Court of Bishkek on November 17.
The court also confirmed that the detention of the suspects was deemed legal and justified.
Earlier, there were reports of a conflict involving Chinese citizens. According to the police, the conflict arose between drivers of two companies engaged in the transportation of sand and gravel due to issues with passing on the road, which led to the brawl. One of the drivers was hospitalized with injuries at the Chui Regional Hospital.
As part of the investigative and operational measures, all participants in the conflict were identified—44 people were taken to the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region for investigative actions. Of these, 16 were detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 280 ("Hooliganism") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
