The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on November 17. A resident of Sokuluk stated that he was on Kainazarova Street when a "Toyota Camry" approached him. Three young men got out of the vehicle and asked to borrow his mobile phone to make a call. After he handed over his smartphone, one of the assailants hit him, and soon they fled in the car with the phone.
This case was registered under Article 206 ("Robbery") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Shortly thereafter, police officers detained the suspects, among whom were Sh.I. (born in 2006), Zh.D. and K.D. (both born in 2009), as well as A.E. (born in 2010). The 19-year-old suspect was placed in a temporary detention facility.
During the investigation, it was established that the detainees may be involved in other crimes related to robbery and fraud.
