A driver who hit a pedestrian and fled the scene of the accident was detained in Batken, local police report.
According to law enforcement information, the incident occurred on December 5 at around 21:00 on T. Sadykov Street. A silver Mercedes-Benz struck a 46-year-old man, a resident of J.K., as he was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.
After the collision, the driver loaded the injured man into the back seat and, bypassing the roundabout, fled via I. Razzakov Street.
By the morning of December 6, around 09:30, the man's body was found on the roadside.
The incident was recorded by surveillance cameras. During operational activities, police officers were able to establish the location of both the vehicle and the driver. The Mercedes-Benz and its owner, 26-year-old A. uulu N., were found and detained at an auto parts market.
The detainee was placed in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions in the case are ongoing.
