According to the information from the agency, on October 2, 2025, a 28-year-old resident of the region approached the city department of internal affairs in Batken. He reported that a 46-year-old local resident deceitfully gained his trust by promising to free his father from prison and received 1 million 500 thousand soms from him. After that, the suspect disappeared, citing various excuses.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud"). As a result of operational activities carried out by the criminal investigation department of the Batken city police, the suspect named E.S. was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility for a period of two months.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
