According to the press service of the Talas region's Internal Affairs Department, law enforcement agencies have detained a man suspected of committing fraud involving a significant amount of money.
A citizen of Norway, born in 1985, filed a statement with the Aitmatov District Internal Affairs Department. He reported that a Kyrgyzstani named B.T. deceitfully took possession of his funds by gaining the victim's trust and appropriating $200,000.
Based on this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Fraud").
During operational activities, B.T., also born in 1985 and residing in the Aitmatov district, was detained as a suspect. The court decided to place him in custody for a period of two months.
The investigation is ongoing.
