A person suspected of fraud using the Lalafo application has been arrested in the Chui region, reported the press service of the regional police department.
According to information from the police department of the Kemin district, on November 9, 2025, a resident of Tokmok, D.N., saw an advertisement for the sale of a Volkswagen Passat on the Lalafo platform. After negotiating with the seller, he transferred 27,000 soms to the electronic wallet "O Dengi," and later added another 40,000 soms at the request of the "seller." After that, contact with him was lost, and D.N. was unable to recover his money, suffering a total loss of 67,000 soms.
Based on these facts, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational activities, law enforcement agencies identified the suspect — K.A., born in 1999, who already had previous convictions for similar crimes. He was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest. His possible involvement in other crimes in the Chui region is currently being investigated. The investigation is ongoing.
