According to information from the press service of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chuy Region, a 26-year-old man, K.A., was detained in Kemin, who previously had legal issues due to similar crimes. He is suspected of deceiving a resident of Tokmok by selling him a non-existent Volkswagen Passat.
According to the investigation, the fraudster received 67,000 soms from the victim, promising to sell the car. Initially, the victim transferred 27,000 soms to the "O Dengi" electronic wallet, then added another 40,000. After that, K.A. stopped communicating, which raised suspicions.
Based on the collected materials, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility, after which the court decided on his house arrest.
Currently, law enforcement agencies are investigating the possible involvement of the detainee in other similar crimes committed in the Chuy Region.
