The Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui region reported the detention of a suspect in a fraud case related to the purchase of a car through the Lalafo platform.
According to law enforcement agencies, a resident of Tokmok, known as D.N., filed a complaint with the Internal Affairs Department of the Kemin district. He stated that on November 9, 2025, he found an advertisement for the sale of a Volkswagen Passat on the Lalafo app. After communicating with the seller, he transferred 27,000 soms to the electronic wallet "O Dengi," and then another 40,000 soms at the seller's request. However, after receiving the money, the "seller" stopped contacting the buyer. As a result, the total damage amounted to 67,000 soms.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
Law enforcement agencies have identified the suspect — a local resident K.A., born in 1999, who had previously been convicted for similar crimes. He was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Kyrgyzstan and placed in a temporary detention facility. The court has decided on his house arrest.
Currently, his possible connection to other similar crimes in the Chui region is being investigated. The investigation is ongoing.
