Sadyr Japarov, the president of the country, stated in an interview with IA "Kabar" that significant reforms are planned in the State Committee for National Security (SCNS). According to him, the work on combating corruption and crime will continue without interruption.
The president noted that although the special service has successfully handled the tasks assigned to it, it is necessary for state institutions to adapt to modern threats and changing conditions.
He emphasized: "The world is undergoing changes, and our state structures must develop and update accordingly."
Japarov also pointed out that there is no practice of "covering up" those who violate the law in the country.
"The law has always been in effect and will continue to be in effect. No public servant can afford to violate the law or act in their own interests," he added.
The president assured that the fight against corruption and crime will not cease.
"Work to eradicate corruption and crime is ongoing around the clock. We must rid our society of these phenomena," he emphasized, adding that all those responsible will be held accountable upon detection of violations.
