On February 13, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, Bakyt Torobaev, held a meeting with Kurbon Hakimzoda, the Minister of Agriculture of Tajikistan.

The negotiations focused on key aspects of cooperation in agriculture. The participants discussed how to enhance the genetic potential of livestock through the exchange of breeding bulls and yaks, as well as the need to develop and modernize cotton processing processes. Additionally, they emphasized the importance of sharing experiences in agronomy and animal husbandry, as well as expanding joint research.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to develop specific cooperation projects and create a working group of specialists to prepare a roadmap for joint initiatives. This work will also include organizing specialist exchanges, conducting workshops, and enhancing staff qualifications.

It should be noted that this meeting took place within the framework of the first session of the Intergovernmental Council of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
