In Batken, a meeting was held with the participation of Bakyt Torobaev, who holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. The meeting reviewed the results of the socio-economic development of the region for 2025 and outlined key tasks for the coming years.

During the meeting, attention was focused on the implementation of both national and regional programs, as well as the current state of infrastructure and social projects. Issues of security, sustainability of public services, and improving the quality of government services were discussed. One of the important topics was attracting investments and implementing digital technologies in the field of public administration, as well as coordinating actions between central authorities and local administration.

Bakyt Torobaev emphasized the significance of the five-year period of President Sadyr Japarov's work, noting that in 2025 it will be five years since he took office.

According to Torobaev, when comparing the economic indicators of 2020 and 2025, significant changes in the economy and the state management system can be observed. "These changes can be characterized as 'night and day,'" he noted, adding that in 2025, the consolidated budget of the country reached over 1 trillion soms, which is significantly more compared to 247.8 billion soms in 2020.

He also noted the active development of the real sector of the economy, including construction, industry, services, and agriculture, which have become the main factors of economic growth.

During the meeting, issues of budget discipline, expenditure control, and further development of investment policy were also discussed. The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet highlighted the need for active use of public-private partnership mechanisms, improving coordination between central government bodies and the Batken region administration, as well as enhancing risk management and emergency preparedness. Attention was paid to creating conditions for improving the quality of life of the population, including internal migration and the creation of new jobs.

“We must not only support economic growth but also ensure sustainable development of the regions through attracting investments, creating jobs, and developing infrastructure. Our task is to improve the living standards of citizens and create conditions for stable economic growth,” he summarized.

As a result of the meeting, specific instructions were given to the local administration and relevant ministries, including the implementation of strategic programs with defined deadlines and responsible parties, accelerating the launch of priority projects, completing unfinished social facilities, improving the management of public finances and assets, as well as modernizing infrastructure. Special attention will be paid to the introduction of modern monitoring and control tools, ensuring environmental and social responsibility of large projects, as well as improving the quality of government services.
