In 2026, the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic announced large-scale work on the installation and upgrading of electrical networks in the Chui region, during which more than 119.34 km of SIP cable will be installed.

The work is scheduled to take place from March to November, in preparation for the autumn-winter season of 2026–2027.

The reconstruction will take place in the following districts:

▪️ Alamudun District — 20.45 km;

▪️ Kemin District — 6.840 km;

▪️ Moscow District — 11.100 km;

▪️ Jayyl District — 9.429 km;

▪️ Sokuluk District — 33.583 km;

▪️ Chui District — 15.899 km;

▪️ Issyk-Ata District — 5.68 km;

▪️ Panfilov District — 8 km.

The advantages of SIP cable include that insulated wires are less prone to icing and snow accumulation, which significantly increases the reliability of electrical networks. It also helps prevent short circuits and power supply disruptions during strong winds. The cable has good resistance to adverse climatic conditions.

The goal of these activities is to ensure reliable electricity supply for consumers during the winter period and minimize the risks of emergency situations.
