According to data from the presidential representative office, on February 17, 2026, at Osh State University, the presidential envoy Amankan Kenjebayev held a meeting with the delegation of the European Parliament.
During the meeting, key aspects of the socio-economic development of the region were discussed, including investment potential, agricultural product processing, and the creation of new jobs.
The discussion also touched upon cross-border cooperation, legal trade, and the improvement of border infrastructure. The participants of the meeting highly appreciated the work on enhancing border management within the framework of the BOMCA program implemented by the European Union.

Work will also continue on the digitalization of borders, modernization of checkpoints, and strengthening the capacity of law enforcement agencies.
