At a press conference held at the "Kabar" agency, it was announced that this year graduates planning to enroll in secondary vocational educational institutions, both on a budgetary and a paid basis, are required to undergo the National Testing (ORT).

Dinara Bektasheva, acting head of the Department of Higher, Secondary Vocational, and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Science, clarified the new requirement for the ORT.

She noted that changes to the education law were adopted in 2023.

“According to these changes, only those who have completed 11 grades must take the ORT when enrolling in secondary vocational education institutions. Graduates of 9 grades are exempt from this requirement,” emphasized Bektasheva.

It is important to note that registration for participation in the ORT has already begun: it started on February 17 and will last until April 2. The testing will take place from May 16 to May 23.
