In Bishkek, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Edil Baisalov, held a meeting with Ambassador Volker Frobrich, who heads the OSCE Program Office.
According to the government, during this meeting, Edil Baisalov congratulated the ambassador on his new appointment and wished him success in his upcoming work. He emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic views the OSCE as a key platform for equal and constructive dialogue on security and cooperation issues, reaffirming its commitment to democratic principles, the rule of law, and the protection of human rights.
The interlocutors discussed important areas of cooperation, including combating corruption and organized crime, digitalization of public administration, as well as reforming the judicial and law enforcement systems.
They also addressed issues concerning the further development of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, including its institutional framework and tax aspects.
As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to strengthen constructive cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the OSCE.
