Today, February 24, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Edil Baisalov, handed over the keys to 26 new vehicles to representatives of the National Academy of Sciences. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The vehicles were purchased for 44,800,000 soms and are intended to improve the material and technical base of the Academy's scientific institutions. These cars will be used in archaeological, geological, geophysical, biological, and other field research.
At the event, Edil Baisalov noted that the National Academy of Sciences receives active support from the state. He emphasized that the Academy's building has been completely renovated, and the salaries of employees have been doubled. According to him, the new vehicles will facilitate scientific research in remote areas of Kyrgyzstan and the fulfillment of state scientific tasks.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of further development of the scientific sector, noting that the state sets strategic tasks for which innovative solutions and a real contribution to economic growth are expected from science.
The President of the National Academy of Sciences, Kanatbek Abdrakhmatov, expressed gratitude for the support provided to the Academy by the state.
