At a republican meeting, President Sadyr Japarov noted that the security of the state cannot be ensured without clearly defined borders.
He emphasized that the process of resolving the border issue has been challenging for the country.
“The border problem has been one of the most serious for our state. For more than three decades, there have been constant conflicts in disputed territories where borders remained undefined, which, unfortunately, led to severe consequences for our citizens. Local residents experienced constant anxiety. Thanks to complex negotiations with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, we managed to resolve the border issue. In such matters, simple solutions are ineffective. The key is to protect national interests while considering the position of the other side,” the president added.
It should be noted that a republican meeting is currently taking place in Bishkek with the participation of President Sadyr Japarov. This event includes members of the government, heads of state agencies, authorized representatives of the president in the regions, as well as the mayors of Bishkek, Osh, and other cities of regional subordination.
