
President Sadyr Japarov stated at the republican meeting in "Yntymak Ordo" that the period from 2021 to 2025 will be dedicated to significant transformation of Kyrgyzstan's economic model.
He noted that at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, Kyrgyzstan faced serious challenges, including issues with the state budget, insufficient activity of investment institutions, and other difficulties.
According to the head of state, the years 2021–2025 should become a time of qualitative economic growth in the new history of the country. In 2020, the gross domestic product (GDP) was 8.3 billion dollars, and by 2025, it is projected to grow to 22.6 billion dollars, indicating a threefold growth of the economy.
The president also added that tax revenues increased fourfold, customs revenues sixfold, and non-tax revenues ninefold during the specified period.
“In 2020, the consolidated budget was 313 billion soms, and by 2025 it will exceed 1 trillion 100 billion soms, which corresponds to a growth of 3.5 times,” emphasized Japarov.
The current meeting in "Yntymak Ordo" is dedicated to summarizing the results for 2025 and is attended by President Sadyr Japarov.
Participants in the meeting include members of the government, heads of state institutions, authorized representatives of the president in the regions, mayors of Bishkek and Osh, as well as district akims.
