In January 2026, the structure of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan showed that the share of mineral extraction accounted for 10%. The main part of this sector is represented by manufacturing industries, which occupied 73.3% of the total volume. This data was published by the National Statistical Committee.

An additional 15.9% is allocated to sectors related to the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning. At the same time, water supply, waste treatment, and secondary raw material production accounted for only 0.8%.

The total production volume in the mineral extraction sector reached 6,970.4 million soms in January 2026. The physical volume index compared to January 2025 was 137.7%, indicating a significant growth in this sector.

The main factors contributing to growth in the extraction industry were the increase in the extraction of metal ores and other minerals, which rose by 1.7 times. There is also an increase in the extraction of hard and brown coal (lignite) by 16.8%.

However, there are also negative trends: the extraction of crude oil and natural gas decreased by 26%.
