The initiator of this draft law was the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The adopted draft law includes new terms such as "geoinformation systems" and "geoinformation technologies," and also clarifies the powers of both state and local authorities.
In addition, the draft law mandates the use of spatial data and materials from the state fund of spatial data, as well as information from the unified electronic cartographic base in the process of cartographic activities for the needs of state bodies and local self-government bodies when processing spatial data.
