The deputy discussed salary issues in the media sector
Saltanat Amanova, a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh, expressed concern about the low earnings of journalists and emphasized the importance of state support for this industry.
According to her information, media workers earn an average of 13,000 to 20,000 soms, with maximum salaries reaching only 30,000. Amanova noted that the lack of proper attention to journalism issues leads many specialists to transition to blogging, while traditional genres, such as newspaper and magazine journalism, are losing their relevance.
She added, "Only journalists can convey the truth with facts and statistics, and we cannot rise above the level of bloggers," highlighting the significance of professional journalism.
The deputy also called for a review of the wage system for media workers and proposed additional support measures, including solutions to housing problems.
