In Kyrgyzstan, there is a trend towards increasing the use of organic fertilizers among farmers, which positively affects the state of the soil. This was reported by Bakyt Mambetov, the director of the Department of Agricultural Crop Expertise of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, during a radio broadcast.

He noted that there are agricultural lands in the country that need improvement in nutrient content, which encourages farmers to seek effective methods for enhancing soil fertility.

“Many farmers are now actively switching to the use of organic fertilizers. Previously, in villages, it was common to see manure accumulating in households or gardens,” he explained.

According to Mambetov, the situation has drastically changed in recent years: agrarians have begun to actively apply organic materials to their fields.

“Today, it has become quite difficult to find manure. Farmers willingly take it and use it to fertilize their lands,” he added.

The ministry representative emphasized that this fact indicates a growing awareness among farmers and their understanding of the importance of improving soil quality.

“Sometimes they even offer money for the opportunity to take manure from households, which shows that agrarians are increasingly interested in organic farming,” he concluded.
