According to information, the reason for the dismissal was suspicions of corruption, when Shamirkanov, while serving as Deputy Minister, allegedly demanded a bribe for the promotion of one of the employees. The incident occurred in the summer of 2025.
By appealing to President Sadyr Japarov with a complaint, the employee initiated an investigation by the General Prosecutor's Office, which confirmed the stated facts.
As a result, the president made the decision to dismiss Urmatbek Shamirkanov. This case underscores the importance of transparency in public service: "A dirty deed becomes apparent sooner or later," as the saying goes.
In modern society, such violations are uncovered quickly, sometimes within just a few weeks, and serve as a warning to other public servants. The authorities do not intend to turn a blind eye to corruption, even when it involves recently appointed officials, and will take decisive measures.
The record of Urmatbek Shamirkanov was removed from the post of head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations due to bribery, first appeared in K-News.
