Deputy Bolot Saginayev spoke at a plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh on March 11, 2026, with an important statement about the need to increase the sown areas for wheat.
He noted that Ukraine currently ranks fourth in the world in terms of wheat export volume.
“Given the current situation, a shortage of this crop is possible, and we should strive for self-sufficiency,” emphasized Saginayev.
The deputy urged the Ministry of Agriculture to consider the possibility of distributing wheat seeds to farmers.
“This could be a significant step towards ensuring our market with flour without the need for imports,” he added.
