Deputy Erulan Kokulov drew President Sadyr Japarov's attention to the decreasing respect for deputies. He emphasized that some ministers treat parliamentarians with disdain, forcing them to wait in reception halls.
“We do not come to ministers with our own requests, but represent the interests of the people,” he noted.
In response, Japarov expressed the opinion that respect for deputies largely depends on their behavior and the quality of the issues raised.
“The decline in the authority of deputies is not related to the actions of ministers or myself. It is the result of your work. If you raise insignificant or trivial issues, you lose the respect of the people. Respect must be earned through your actions and the level of your work,” the president added.
Furthermore, he urged ministers to consider the requests of deputies out of turn, but set a condition: “If a deputy comes with a personal issue, they should be sent back immediately,” he emphasized.
