The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan reports the exposure of the activities of "T.M.Sh.", who is part of the international terrorist organization "Islamic State".
This Kyrgyz citizen, residing in the Aravan district of the Osh region, was engaged in agitation among the local population, calling for the overthrow of the current authorities and the establishment of a theocratic "Caliphate". He also recruited citizens to participate in combat operations in Middle Eastern countries and was planning to carry out terrorist acts on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
During the conducted counter-terrorism operations, the suspect was detained in Istanbul and was brought to Kyrgyzstan on March 16, 2026, where an investigation is currently underway.
