The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, Erlis Akunbekov, shared information about measures aimed at regulating prices for food products, particularly regarding the government's decision to stabilize prices for meat products.

According to the government's press service, in order to increase meat production volumes and influence its cost, a pilot project aimed at developing a meat cluster based on industrial fattening of cattle will be initiated in Bishkek and Chui region.

As part of this project, which will last until 2026, state support will be provided to participants of the regional meat cluster through the provision of preferential loans.

Farmers and agribusinesses involved in cattle fattening in Chui region and Bishkek will be able to take advantage of low interest rates on preferential loans. Financing will be provided through the state banks "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank."

Additionally, to slow down the rise in food prices, ensure the availability of products for socially vulnerable groups of the population, support local producers, and maintain stability in the domestic market, food fairs will be held across the country on weekends.
