Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Food Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, announced new measures from the Cabinet of Ministers aimed at stabilizing meat prices in the country.

As part of this project, which aims to increase meat production, a pilot project focused on the industrial fattening of cattle will be implemented in the Chui region and Bishkek.

It is expected that by 2026, participants in the meat cluster will receive state support through preferential lending. Farmers and agribusinesses participating in the project will be able to take advantage of loans with reduced interest rates, funded by the state banks "Aiyl Bank" and "Eldik Bank".

It is also worth noting that to reduce the rate of price increases for food products and ensure the availability of goods for socially vulnerable groups, food fairs will be held across the republic on weekends.
