The Nowruz holiday took place on March 21 in the central square of Naryn as part of the project "Aryba Kyrgyzmyndyn Narktylugh," where competitions were organized for "Best Yurt," "Best Craftsman," "Best Sümölök," and "Best National Dish."
In addition, the event featured an extensive cultural program with performances by well-known artists. The country's president also participated in the celebration.
The team from the Ayil Okmotu of Ala-Buga, representing the Ak-Talinsky district, performed successfully in three competitions. In particular, the village of Kosh-Döbö took second place in the "Best Yurt" category, receiving a prize of 90,000 soms. The village of Choloq-Kaiyn secured a similar position in the "Best Sümölök" competition, earning 30,000 soms, while representatives from Ak-Tala came in third in the "National Dish" category.
Moreover, participants prepared eight cauldrons of sümölök. They were awarded 10,000 soms for each portion, and they also received an additional 10,000 soms for their craftsmanship skills.
