At a meeting of the Environmental Council, an important decision was made to create a unified register of green plantings in the capital. This initiative received support from the public, which proposed to include all the trees in the city in the register.
In this regard, the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, instructed the State Enterprise "Center for Digital Technologies" to develop electronic maps that will allow residents to obtain information about green plantings.
Currently, the implementation of this project has already begun with the participation of the State Enterprise "Bishkekzelenstroy" and the relevant services in the parks and squares of the capital, the city hall reported. Each tree will be equipped with an individual tag that will serve as a "passport." This document will record data such as the species of the tree, its age, trunk diameter, height, condition, and other characteristics. This will help specialists monitor the "history" of each tree and provide the necessary care.
The inventory of green plantings is being conducted to assess their condition, plan maintenance, and ensure timely treatment and replacement of hazardous trees. This work is aimed at preserving and developing the city's green fund.
In addition, the city hall refuted information about the mass cutting down of trees on Erkindik Boulevard, noting that it is not true.
