WorldSkills regional competitions have started in Kyrgyzstan



On March 26 in Bishkek, the third regional stage of the WorldSkills Kyrgyzstan competitions was launched, as reported by the Ministry of Education.

The contests are taking place at professional colleges No. 18 and No. 27, covering the fields of "Fashion Technology," "Culinary Arts," and "Welding Technology." An opening ceremony also took place in Karakol, attended by the Deputy Minister of Education Albert Makhmetkulov.

Participants from Bishkek, as well as from Chui, Talas, Issyk-Kul, and Naryn regions are competing in these contests. Competitions for the southern region are scheduled for March 30-31 in Osh.

Those who place in the regional stage will have the opportunity to participate in the national championship of WorldSkills Kyrgyzstan, which will be held from April 13 to 17, 2026. Based on its results, a team will be formed to participate in the international WorldSkills championship, which will take place in Shanghai in 2026.

The events are organized by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic in collaboration with the public fund WorldSkills Kyrgyzstan.
