From March 26 to 31, the third round of the WorldSkills Kyrgyzstan regional competitions will take place in Kyrgyzstan. These competitions play an important role in selecting participants for the national championship and international professional skills contests.
According to information from the Ministry of Education, these competitions will cover all regions of the country and gather the best students and young professionals from the vocational education system.
According to the information:
- On March 26, competitions will be held in Bishkek (participants from Bishkek, Chui, and Talas regions) and in the Issyk-Kul region (participants from Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions);
- On March 30-31, the regional stage will take place in Osh, where contestants from Osh, Batken, and Jalal-Abad regions will participate.
Participants will demonstrate their skills in key competencies such as:
* welding technologies
* fashion and style
* culinary arts
Those who take prize places at the regional stage will have the opportunity to participate in the national championship WorldSkills Kyrgyzstan, which will be held from April 13 to 17, 2026.
Based on the results of the national championship, a team from Kyrgyzstan will be formed to participate in the 48th International WorldSkills Championship — WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, which will take place from September 22 to 27, 2026, in Shanghai, China. It is expected that representatives from more than 60 countries will participate in the competitions.
In anticipation of the regional stage, the public fund WorldSkills Kyrgyzstan is conducting training for experts according to international WorldSkills standards.
Specialized training sessions will be held on March 23-24, 2026, after which the experts will receive certificates valid for one year.
