More than 5,000 Bishkek women gathered for a festive concert in honor of March 8 – photo report

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a festive concert was held in honor of International Women's Day – March 8. The "Zhashtyk" arena was filled with about 5,000 women representing various districts of the city.

Among the participants were the First Lady of the country Aigul Japarova, the Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Junushaliev, the Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Kanat Sagynbaev, as well as many honored guests and representatives from various sectors of life in the capital.

The mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, delivered a congratulatory speech, wishing all women health, happiness, well-being for their families, and new successes.

"Bishkek has a population of over 1.5 million people, more than half of whom are women. This highlights your important role in shaping the character, mood, and future of our city," noted the mayor.

"You contribute to all spheres of life in the capital: raising children, developing science, education, culture, sports, entrepreneurship, and active citizenship," he added.

"You pass on values and knowledge from generation to generation, strengthen families, and create an atmosphere of trust and care," emphasized the mayor.

He also expressed special gratitude to the employees of the municipal enterprises "Bishkekzelenstroy" and "Tazalyk" for their efforts in beautifying the city.

The concert program included classical works and modern compositions performed by well-known artists and creative groups. The event became a symbol of respect and recognition for women for their contribution to the development of society and the country.
