Adylbek Kasymaliev familiarized himself with the condition of several medical institutions in Issyk-Kul

During his working trip to the Issyk-Kul region, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, inspected several medical institutions.

In particular, he visited the unified regional hospital in Karakol, founded in 1968, with a capacity of 550 beds. Adylbek Kasymaliev examined the intensive care and surgical departments, as well as familiarized himself with the medical equipment and conditions for patients.

Additionally, he checked the progress of the construction of a new building for 350 beds, which began in 2024. The project includes eight blocks, and its completion is scheduled for 2027.

The head of the government emphasized the importance of this medical institution for the region and insisted on the quality and timely completion of the construction. He also instructed to provide housing for young doctors working in the hospital through the state mortgage program and to consider the possibility of building service housing.

During this visit, he was presented with the project of an international medical cluster in Karakol, which is intended to become a key center for high technologies in medicine and medical tourism for CIS countries and neighboring states. This project aims to implement modern diagnostic and treatment technologies, create specialized oncology and cardiology centers, as well as attract highly qualified foreign specialists and develop the medical education system. The project cost is 150 million dollars, and the number of beds is 510. The implementation of the project will create about 750 new jobs.

Adylbek Kasymaliev also familiarized himself with the state of the anti-plague department of the Center for Control and Prevention of Particularly Dangerous Infections, built in 1894. The laboratory conditions do not meet modern biological safety standards. Following the visit, a directive was issued to work on the construction of a new building and the updating of the material and technical base of the department.

Also, during the trip, he visited the Issyk-Kul Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination, located in an emergency building constructed in 1897. The bureau has three departments.

Following the visit, Adylbek Kasymaliev instructed the responsible state bodies to address the issues of modernizing the bureau's infrastructure, including the construction of a new building and the acquisition of necessary equipment.
