The head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaiev, conducted an inspection of the ongoing repair works at the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy named after M. Mirrahimov, as well as at the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation, which operates under the Ministry of Health.
During the visit, according to information from the government press service, Kasymaiev familiarized himself with the condition of the medical institutions, the pace of repairs, and the conditions being created for patients and medical staff. Key areas of activity and plans for the development of cardiac surgery in the country were also discussed.
In the first and second phases of the major repairs of the building of the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy named after M. Mirrahimov, work is being carried out on repairs and construction in various departments, including the outpatient clinic, operating block, nephrology basement, food block, and engineering networks such as water supply, sewage, electricity supply, and ventilation.
Work has been completed in the nephrology, rheumatology, and therapy departments. Electrical supply, heating systems, fire alarm, and video surveillance systems have also been installed, as well as four elevators. The major repairs of the conference hall, food block, and several floors have been completed.
The outpatient clinic and inpatient department are almost fully ready for operation.
Kasymaiev instructed to complete the repair work at the National Center for Cardiology and Therapy within three months.
After that, he reviewed the progress of restoration work at the Research Institute of Heart Surgery and Organ Transplantation, where a fire occurred in February of last year.
Currently, the work is at the final stage. The dismantling of internal structures has been completed, new window blocks have been installed, heating systems and sanitary engineering systems have been replaced, and electrical supply cable lines have been laid. Finishing work, ventilation, and facade work have been completed, a room for the gasifier has been built, oxygen pipelines are being laid, laminar ceilings and recirculation columns have been installed. Engineering solutions have also been implemented for the full functioning of the operating block and medical premises, including smoke removal systems and ventilation equipment.
The institute has acquired medical equipment worth 270 million soms.
Following the visit, Kasymaiev instructed to ensure high quality and timely completion of repair work at the institution by March 1 of this year.
Special attention was paid to equipping institutions with modern medical equipment, improving the quality of cardiological care for the population, and enhancing the conditions for patients.
At the end of the visit, instructions were given to the responsible authorities for further monitoring of the progress of repair work and ensuring the necessary medical equipment for the institutions.
