The Issyk-Kul Electric Networks Enterprise has successfully completed the preparatory activities for the autumn-winter season of 2025–2026 as part of the Ministry of Energy's program aimed at enhancing the reliability of electricity supply.
During the preparations, scheduled technical and repair works were carried out at various energy facilities, including power transmission lines and transformer substations. The main objective was to ensure stable and reliable electricity supply for the residents of the Issyk-Kul region during the upcoming winter period.

At 61 substations with voltages ranging from 35 to 220 kV, maintenance was conducted for 4,863 units of electrical equipment since the beginning of 2025, and major repairs were carried out for 436 units.
According to the plan, 100.7 kilometers of high-voltage power transmission lines were overhauled, and maintenance was performed on 1,422.6 kilometers of lines with voltages of 35-110-220 kV. During the work, 6,837 outdated porcelain insulators were replaced with modern glass ones.
Since the beginning of 2025, maintenance has also been conducted on 1,222 transformer substations of 10/0.4 kV and 1,687 km of overhead power lines.
In addition, 211 km of overhead lines and 223 transformer substations of 10/0.4 kV were repaired.
As part of the repair activities, 757 wooden poles were replaced with modern reinforced concrete structures.
Employees of the transformer repair shop repaired 105 transformers and cleaned approximately 26.2 tons of transformer oil.
“All of the above activities were carried out to successfully navigate the upcoming autumn-winter season and improve the quality of electricity supply for consumers,” the official statement emphasizes.
