At a press conference at the "Kabar" agency, Deputy Minister of Education Nadiira Dzhusupbekova announced that in 2026, approximately 170 thousand first-graders are expected to enroll in the first grade in Kyrgyzstan. It is important to note that this information is preliminary, and the final number of children will be known after the registration process is completed.
Rahat Musaeva, the director of the Education Department of the Bishkek City Hall, added that in the capital, around 25 thousand children are expected to enter the first grade, which is significantly more compared to the 18 thousand registered in 2025.
