As reported by the university, the patient's story began three years ago when a 40-year-old man found himself on dialysis. In this difficult situation, his 68-year-old father, Anarbek Usenov, readily agreed to become a donor for his son.
The family searched for suitable options for the operation for a long time, considering foreign clinics, particularly in Turkey. However, the high prices for medical services abroad proved to be unaffordable. Upon learning about the possibilities of high-tech surgeries in Osh, the family decided to move from Bishkek to the south of the country.
Anarbek Usenov noted that their trust in local specialists was justified: the preparation and the surgical intervention itself were conducted under strict supervision of professionals.
Previously, significant financial resources and trips abroad were required to perform such operations, according to the medical institution.
At present, both the donor and the recipient are under the supervision of doctors, and their condition is assessed as stable.
