An international practical conference titled "ABA of the 21st Century: Life Skills, Individuality, Values" is taking place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, focusing on autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and modern methods of their correction, as well as on supporting families and forming an inclusive society.
Nazik Chekirova, the head of the Center for Development and Correction of Children's Behavior "Ananai," noted the alarming increase in cases of early autism diagnosis in children and the insufficient awareness of parents about this issue.
According to her, in Kyrgyzstan, the system of early diagnosis and modern correction methods remain underdeveloped.
Chekirova emphasized that for effective assistance to children with autism, it is crucial to start correction work before the age of three, which significantly increases the chances of successful socialization.
The goal of the conference is to broaden the horizons of specialists and parents, introduce them to advanced working methods, and share international experience. All presentations include practical examples and real cases.
Additionally, Chekirova added that discussions will address the emotional state of parents of children with special needs, as this requires significant resources and attention.
