The visit of the Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Damir Osmonov, to the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital named after Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was an important event. He got acquainted with the organization of medical care, the work of clinical departments, and the progress in high-tech treatments. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.
During the visit, the ministry's leadership was presented with information about the functioning of the medical institution and the use of an electronic medical data management system. This system assists in maintaining medical documentation, tracking prescriptions and medications, as well as coordinating treatment processes, significantly easing doctors' access to patient information.
The minister also visited various clinical departments, including the cardiology service and the angiographic operating room, where modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed.
Particular attention was paid to the organ transplantation program, which began in 2023 with the involvement of Turkish specialists. Currently, 16 patients have been selected for kidney transplantation surgery, and practical operations have already begun at the hospital.
Preparation of patients for upcoming surgeries is ongoing. A group is currently being formed to undergo necessary medical examinations and preparatory procedures before transplantation. After the operation, medical monitoring and rehabilitation will be provided for the patients.
Additionally, plans for further development of the transplantation service were discussed at the meeting, including patient selection and organization of subsequent surgeries.
