At Osh State University, the TAVI operation, known as transcatheter aortic valve implantation, was performed for the first time, which does not require a large surgical incision.

According to information provided by the university's press service, this procedure was performed on a 72-year-old patient and became the first of its kind at this clinic.

During the operation, surgeons from the center worked alongside invited specialists from Russia and doctors from local private medical institutions. Interventional radiologist Oleg Krestyaninov noted the high level of professionalism among local specialists, emphasizing: “The clinic's team consists of experienced doctors who have successfully mastered the medical equipment and were able to independently perform a significant part of the operation.”

Previously, complex surgeries such as liver and kidney transplants were successfully carried out at the Osh State University clinic.

Today, the institution provides high-tech assistance in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, and there is an observed increase in the number of patients.
