An endocrinologist from the medical company "SberHealth," Margarita Belousova, shared recommendations with Lenta.ru on choosing healthy dishes for breakfast.

Among the optimal options, she noted an omelet with vegetable salad and whole grain toast with fruit jam, as well as a sandwich with chicken breast, fresh lettuce leaves, cream cheese, and tomatoes. Additionally, an interesting option could be a fruit and berry bowl with Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, or a casserole with berries and nuts, as well as a salad of roasted pumpkin with feta.

To make the morning meal more filling, the expert recommends adding sources of healthy fats to the dishes, such as a handful of nuts or a slice of avocado.

Belousova paid special attention to cereals — a traditional breakfast. Although they are healthy, not everyone can consume them. For example, those suffering from type 2 diabetes should choose cereals with a low glycemic index, such as oatmeal, buckwheat, or pearl barley. People with gluten intolerance should avoid bulgur, pearl barley, and wheat, and instead opt for safe alternatives like buckwheat, rice, and corn.
