In institutions working under contracts with the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund (FOMS), 1,165,676 cases of treatment were registered. Of these, 293,241 cases involved pregnant women who were in labor or in the postpartum period.
According to the fund, pregnant women can register for free and obtain insured status starting from the moment they contact their family doctor. After receiving this status, they can access a full range of medical services at the Family Medicine Center without any additional costs. This applies to both hospitalization and childbirth. All medical expenses, including cesarean sections, anesthesia, medications from the list of essential drugs, and hospital stays, should be covered for free.
FOMS closely monitors the quality of services provided and the rights of female patients, as well as informs the public about available options for free medical assistance.
Citizens who encounter issues with service quality or refusals to provide services covered by the State Guarantees Program can contact the FOMS 24-hour hotline at 113.
