In Karakol, a mobile clinic has started operating, providing local residents with the opportunity to undergo free medical examinations. This event is timed to coincide with March 24 — World Tuberculosis Day.

As part of this initiative, residents of the city can undergo radiographic examinations, which allow for the early detection of tuberculosis. Medical specialists noted that the use of modern digital equipment with elements of artificial intelligence ensures high accuracy in diagnosis. “Early detection of the disease significantly increases the chances of successful and rapid treatment. Currently, we are conducting examinations in the most populated area of the city in collaboration with non-governmental organizations. Additionally, events are taking place in the region where people are informed about how the disease is transmitted and what methods of prevention exist. To raise awareness among schoolchildren, essay contests and themed performances have been organized,” said the director of the Issyk-Kul Regional Tuberculosis Control Center, Zhanil Akunova.

According to the regional center, in 2025, 159 cases of tuberculosis were recorded in the Issyk-Kul region, which is 37 cases fewer than in 2024. This indicates a positive trend in the fight against the disease.

Of the total number of registered cases, 33 cases were noted in the Jeti-Oguz district.

Specialists emphasize that regular preventive examinations play a key role in reducing morbidity in the region.
