One of the main mistakes is drinking coffee immediately after waking up, especially without first drinking water. This can exacerbate dehydration and negatively impact overall health.
The expert explained that in the morning hours, the level of cortisol, which is responsible for waking up, peaks. At this moment, caffeine can disrupt its normal functioning.
To avoid discomfort, the pharmacist recommends first drinking a glass of water and only then enjoying coffee later.
Additionally, Nateri noted that other morning habits, such as a sugary breakfast or checking the phone immediately after waking up, can also affect well-being.
