At the National Center for the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood (NCPMC), another successful kidney transplant operation was performed on a 29-year-old man. The operation was carried out on a pro bono basis, as reported by the Ministry of Health.

The Deputy Minister of Health, Bakyt Kadyraliev, familiarized himself with the surgical intervention process and the organization of medical assistance. The doctors noted that the patient needed a transplant after spending 12 months on programmed hemodialysis due to chronic glomerulonephritis. The donor for this patient was his biological brother.

Since the beginning of 2024, the NCPMC has already performed 41 free kidney transplants funded by the budget. From 2018 to 2026, the center has conducted 83 transplant surgeries.

The medical team at the NCPMC continues to work with patients suffering from chronic kidney diseases and is actively developing the field of transplantation in the country. During the visit, the deputy minister also met with a patient who received a kidney transplant 14 years ago. This individual leads an active lifestyle and works, demonstrating that transplantation is not only a complex procedure but also an opportunity for a long and quality life.
